At Notre Dame, Moving From 2 Economics Departments to One

Some students and faculty members at the University of Notre Dame are campaigning to save the university's department of economics and policy studies, which administrators have said they plan to dissolve within the next two years.
The campaigners say the worldwide recession is precisely the wrong moment for the university to abandon a department known for its skepticism toward mainstream academic models of economics.
