French Scientists Vote to Resign En Masse
Some 1,100 leading researchers at France's publicly supported laboratories voted overwhelmingly in a closed-door meeting last week to stop doing administrative tasks to protest the government's lack of financing for their work.
The vote, which followed several hours of discussion, was nearly unanimous. Only 10 scientists voted against the decision, according to those present.
