French Scientists Plan Boycott
French research scientists have threatened to boycott their administrative responsibilities if their calls for government action on a series of demands are not met.
More than 50,000 scientists have signed a petition titled Sauvons la Recherche or "Let's Save Research." The researchers charge that the French government is abandoning its commitment to scientific research at a time when "vigorous research" is more essential than ever to the country's future competitiveness.
