French Education Ministry Says Universities Face Major Faculty Turnover
Universities in France are facing a massive faculty turnover.
Over the next 10 years, half of all instructors and researchers in the public university system will retire, according to the Ministry of Education. About two-thirds of those who leave will be tenured professors; in the sciences, the proportion is expected to reach as high as 80 per cent.
