'Free-Speech Zones' on Campuses
To the Editor:
In my opinion, "free-speech zones" need to be very carefully delineated ("Promoting Order or Squelching Campus Dissent?," January 12). I think that these zones may well become the first baby step toward limiting the rights enjoyed under the First Amendment.
Granted, hate speech is not free speech; granted, no one should yell "Fire!" in a crowded place. Given this, it is my honest opinion that free-speech zones may favor only those who enforce these zones --
