Fraternity Suspended for Alleged Homophobic Hazing

The University of Vermont has suspended a fraternity while officials investigate reports that a recent party for pledges involved homophobic hazing and underage drinking, the Associated Press reported today. At the party, which was held by Phi Delta Gamma, pledges were said to have been required to wear cowboy outfits, as in the recent movie Brokeback Mountain, and then endured anti-homosexual jeers.
