Fraternity Chapters Face Disciplinary Actions at Universities in Illinois and New Hampshire
Two colleges cracked down on fraternities this month.
Officials of Southern Illinois University at Carbondale announced that they had temporarily suspended the campus chapter of Pi Kappa Alpha and were considering further disciplinary action against the group in connection with the drowning death of a student on a fraternity trip.
The University of New Hampshire permanently dismissed a fraternity over a year-old incident in which some of its members drew obscene and racist
