Foundation to Build North Korean College
North Korean education officials and representatives of a South Korean foundation broke ground last month for the P'yongyang University of Science and Technology. The university, which is expected to open in the fall of 2003, will be the first higher-education institution in North Korea that is financed by South Koreans and uses South Korean teaching methods.
