Foundation Publishes Mental-Health Guide
Colleges and universities should develop more-comprehensive approaches to treating troubled and suicidal students, according to a mental-health-policy manual released last week by the Jed Foundation, a nonprofit suicide-prevention group.
"Suicide prevention should no longer be solely the concern of mental-health professionals but also that of the entire college community," says the guide, which was prepared in conjunction with four higher-education associations.
