Foundation Provides $6-Million to Strengthen Science in Russia
The John D. and Catherine T. MacArthur Foundation has made a $6-million grant for a new Russian-U.S. project to strengthen basic research and science education in Russia.
The grant marks the start of what is planned as a five-year, $60-million program to help rejuvenate Russian science. The MacArthur funds are to be matched by the Russian Ministry of General and Professional Education, which also will match
