Former Student Activist Chosen to Be Albania's Prime Minister
A former student activist who helped topple Albania's Communist regime has been nominated to be the country's next prime minister.
Pandeli Majko was nominated by the governing Socialist Party to succeed Prime Minister Fatos Nano, who resigned after weeks of unrest. Mr. Majko is the party's number-two official.
