Former Senator Robb to Teach Gratis at George Mason U.
The former U.S. senator Chuck Robb, who has long pushed Virginia to provide ample support for education, is putting his money where his mouth is: He said last month that he would forgo pay for his part-time teaching job at George Mason University as the state's colleges grapple with a budget crisis.
Mr. Robb did not indicate what salary he had been offered, but university officials said the average pay for someone with his position is $15,000 per year.
