Former Ph.D. Candidate Found Guilty of Misconduct

The Public Health Service's Office of Research Integrity has found a former doctoral candidate at Boston College guilty of fabricating data for animal experiments that were not conducted.

The research, by Caroline E. Garey, a former graduate student in the biology department, focused on the genetic causes of epilepsy and was supported by grants from the National Institute of Neurological Disorders and Stroke and the National Institutes of Health.
