Former Education Secretary Assumes Posts at Furman U.
After eight years in the Clinton administration, Richard W. Riley is headed back to the classroom.
Last week, the former education secretary became a part-time professor in the political-science department at his alma mater, Furman University. The former governor of South Carolina graduated from Furman in 1954.
Mr. Riley, who is 68, also will assist in a campaign to raise $7-million for a center that is near and dear to his heart -- the Richard W. Riley
