Former College Athletes Accuse NCAA of Antitrust Violations in Vast Lawsuit Over Scholarship Cap
Three former football and men's basketball players have accused the National Collegiate Athletic Association of creating a hardship for big-time college athletes by unfairly capping the amount of athletics aid any student may receive.
In a lawsuit filed last month in federal court in California, the plaintiffs say that Division I athletes who attend college on "free rides" often must pay $2,500 or more annually out of their own pockets for basic expenses that their athletics
