Foreign Competition: Professors With Degrees From Abroad Are More Productive
Faculty members in the United States with foreign undergraduate degrees appear to be more productive as researchers than are those who earned degrees domestically, according to a study.
Researchers presented the findings this month here at the American Educational Research Association's annual conference. Another study concluded that female professors from abroad are more involved in research and less involved in teaching than other women on college faculties.
