Foreign Applications to Graduate Schools Rise but Growth Rate Slows
Foreign applications to American graduate schools this year rose for the third straight year, but the rate of growth slowed significantly from 2007, according to an annual survey released this month by the Council of Graduate Schools.
After increases of 12 percent in 2006 and 9 percent last year, the number of applications this year grew by just 3 percent. Since 2003 the number of international applications is down 16 percent.
