For-Profit Edison Schools Plans to Open Teacher Colleges
The nation's largest for-profit manager of public schools is exploring a new line of business: teacher training.
The leaders of Edison Schools last month said the company wants to open Edison Teacher Colleges on campuses around the United States, as well online, as early as the fall of 2002. The company also may collaborate with existing teacher colleges.
