For-Profit Colleges Ask U.S. Supreme Court to Halt Whistle-Blower Suit Against U. of Phoenix
The Career College Association is lending its support to the University of Phoenix in its bid to get the U.S. Supreme Court to halt a whistle-blower lawsuit against the institution.
The Supreme Court is expected to decide this spring whether to consider Phoenix's request to dismiss the case, which a lower court reinstated in September.
The for-profit University of Phoenix faces liability of more than $1-billion in the case, which was brought by two former admissions recruiters.
