For Postseason Football, More Than One Option Is Afield
Back in March, it seemed like two groups of college presidents had come up with a tidy plan to expand the college football-championship process to give all 117 teams in Division I-A of the National Collegiate Athletic Association a shot at glory.
Representatives of the five conferences now excluded from the Bowl Championship Series had persuaded their counterparts among the six richer and better-known conferences in the series to give them a shot at the postseason by expanding
