Footloose and Still Faithful
It took 143 years, but officials at Wheaton College have finally concluded that dancing will not damage the spiritual or physical well-being of students at the Illinois institution.
Last month, Wheaton's Board of Trustees voted unanimously to lift a ban on that activity that has been in place since the college's founding, in 1860. The vote followed a year in which trustees at the evangelical college scoured the Bible for guidance and officials canvassed students and faculty
