Football Team at Mississippi State Is Penalized for Recruiting Violations
The Mississippi State University football team is not going to a bowl this year.
That's according to a ruling handed down last week by the National Collegiate Athletic Association, which found that the team's former coaches had committed major recruiting violations.
The team will lose four scholarships, and the entire athletics department will be on probation for the next four years.
