Florida Supreme Court Permits Vote on New State University System

The Supreme Court of Florida cleared the way last month for a referendum on the creation of a state university system with its own governing board.

Backers of the proposed referendum still must get enough signatures to place the measure on the November 5 ballot, but they appear close to doing so.
