Florida State's President Plans Bequest of His Farm

T.K. Wetherell isn't just president of Florida State University -- he's now one of its major benefactors.

Mr. Wetherell and his wife, Virginia, have pledged to donate a 1,000-acre farm to the institution upon their deaths. University officials said proceeds from the gift, valued at about $7.5-million, would be used for scholarships.
