Flat Budget for the Endowments
The two national endowments would receive no increase in 2007 in the budget submitted to Congress by President Bush.
Under the president's plan, the National Endowment for the Humanities would receive $141-million, and the National Endowment for the Arts would receive $125-million. The budget calls for increasing spending by 6.1 percent at the Institute of Museum and Library Services and by 3.8 percent at the National Archives and Records Administration.
