Fla. Investigates Corinthian Colleges
Corinthian Colleges Inc., one of the largest publicly traded higher-education companies, is the subject of an investigation by the Florida attorney general's office into the advertising and marketing practices of Florida Metropolitan University, one of Corinthian's subsidiary institutions.
The for-profit company reported in a filing last week with the Securities and Exchange Commission that the university had received an investigative-records subpoena.
