Nearly destroyed by the tsunami, Iskandarmuda U. chooses life over death
For more than a month after a tsunami destroyed large swaths of Indonesia's Aceh province last December, rotting corpses lay under mountains of twisted wood and metal at the entrance to Iskandarmuda University. Because four of its six buildings somehow remained standing, the campus became a dumping ground for all that the 30-foot waves devoured and then coughed up as they rolled back out to sea.
