Finding Inspiration in Literature
To the Editor:
Richard Rorty's Point of View, ("The Necessity of Inspired Reading" February 9), eloquently praises the magnificent surrender that occurs when we immerse our minds and our souls in art. It's one of the most sublime of all human experiences, and I join him in his fervent hope that it will remain available to all of us, even in this age of critical theory and cultural studies.
