Financial-Aid Administrators Denounce Advertisement Questioning Their Integrity
Student-financial-aid officials are up in arms over a two-page advertisement that appeared in a Sunday edition of The New York Times in July that sharply questions their integrity.
"Before you apply for a student loan you should know the truth about financial aid offices," the ad warns students. "They're supposed to help you choose the best lenders. But in reality, they may steer you toward lenders that benefit them. Not you."
