Final U.S. Budget Contains a Cut for the Fulbright Program

The budget bill signed into law by President Clinton last month includes $202.5-million for the academic-exchange programs administered by the United States Information Agency in fiscal 1999, which began October 1. That figure represents an increase of about $5-million over last year's funds.
