Fewer Employers Plan to Give Signing Bonuses to New College Graduates
Unless they were all-stars on the gridiron, college students who graduate this spring are unlikely to receive signing bonuses when they land their first jobs.
Although the job market is improving for new college graduates, and many companies expect to hire more graduates in 2005 than they have in recent years, a majority of employers do not expect to offer "pot sweeteners" to prospective employees, according to a study by the National Association of Colleges and Employers.
