Federal Judge Dismisses Recruiter-Pay Case Against Corinthian Colleges
A federal judge has dismissed a lawsuit against Corinthian Colleges Inc. that accused the proprietary institution of improperly paying incentive compensation to student recruiters and providing false statements to the U.S. Department of Education about its compensation practices.
The lawsuit was filed under the False Claims Act, which allows individuals to sue on the government's behalf and receive a portion of any damages awarded. The government declined to join in the
