Federal Appeals Court Upholds Virginia Law Restricting the Use of State-Owned Computers

A Virginia law that prohibits the use of state-owned computers to view sexually explicit material doesn't violate the First Amendment, a federal appeals court ruled last week. The law had been challenged by six professors who argued that their research sometimes required them to look up on-line material that could be considered explicit. |
