Federal Appeals Court Upholds Carleton College's Dismissal of a Union Organizer
A federal appeals court has upheld Carleton College's 1996 dismissal of Karl Diekman, an adjunct music professor, finding that it was unrelated to his efforts to unionize adjuncts. The ruling by the U.S. Court of Appeals for the Eighth Circuit reverses the decision last year by the National Labor Relations Board that found the college at fault.
