Community college's plan won't save money, but seeks better service and room for expansion

Salt Lake Community College ran a complete scan of its networks last fall and was shocked to find two local businesses using the college's networks to run their companies. "We didn't have any firewalls or any security in place anywhere, so our networks were wide open," says H. Lynn Cundiff, president of the college. "I was embarrassed, frankly."
