Family of Student Killed by Campus Policeman at Ball State U. Sues for $100-Million

The family of a student fatally shot by a Ball State University police officer last fall has filed a lawsuit against the university's police chief and the officer involved in the incident.

Although the university itself is not named in the complaint, Ball State's police department and its employees are covered under the institution's insurance policy.
