Faculty Salaries Increased at Faster Clip This Year, Survey Indicates
Faculty salaries rose 3.2 percent this year, driven up by higher pay raises at public institutions, according to the results of a new survey by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources.
Last year faculty salaries rose just 2.1 percent, and the increase was an even smaller 1.4 percent at public institutions, where state budget cuts had led to tightening financial belts. This year, according to the survey, salary increases at public institutions averaged
