Faculty Raises Are Down Slightly From Last Year
Salaries of college faculty members increased by a median average of 3.7 percent in 2008-9, a lower rate of increase than in 2007-8, a study has found.
The study, by the College and University Professional Association for Human Resources, says public doctoral institutions had the smallest increase, at 3.3 percent, down from last year's 4.4-percent growth.
