The Faculty Council at the University of Massachusetts at Boston voted no confidence this afternoon in the system’s president, Jack M. Wilson, whose controversial plan to reorganize the leadership of the five UMass campuses has aroused a storm of criticism, both on and off the campus, The Boston Globe reported. The 29-member council’s vote followed a similar one by faculty members at UMass’s Amherst campus two week ago. The council’s members criticized Mr. Wilson for not giving them a voice in developing the restructuring proposal. —Andrew Mytelka
