FEMA Money May Go to Private Colleges

The Federal Emergency Management Agency will be able to give grants to private colleges to pay for building repairs necessitated by natural disasters, under legislation approved by Congress last month. But the policy change is not retroactive and will not cover bills incurred by Gulf Coast colleges during last year's hurricanes.
