Expanding the Food-Studies Canon

As president and co-founder of the Association for the Study of Food and Society, I was heartened to read Jennifer K. Ruark's piece "A Place at the Table" (July 9). However, I was dismayed that while she mentioned that the people she interviewed were at the conference of the Association for the Study of Food and Society and the Society for Agriculture and Human Values, she did not mention that
