Ex-President of Alabama-Birmingham Charges Sex Bias; Head of Monterey Institute Resigns
FIGHTING FOR HERSELF: After decades of political struggles at the public institutions she has led, W. Ann Reynolds, the former president of the University of Alabama at Birmingham, has entered the fray again, this time in court.
Ms. Reynolds, 65, filed a federal lawsuit against the University of Alabama System's Board of Trustees last month, charging that she was fired, in September 2001, because of age and gender discrimination. The lawsuit accuses the system's chancellor at the time,
