The ousted president of Texas Southern University, Priscilla D. Slade, will get her day in court, again. A jury deadlocked in her two-month financial-mismanagement trial, which ended in a mistrial last week. But a judge has ruled that Ms. Slade will be retried in March, the Houston Chronicle reported. If she is eventually convicted, she would face punishments ranging from probation to life in prison for allegedly misusing large sums of money at the cash-strapped university. Prosecutors are likely to again describe for jurors Ms. Slade’s expenses, such as a $100,000 bar tab or a $40,000 set of china. —Paul Fain
