Ex-President of Auburn U. Will Continue to Draw Full Pay
William F. Walker, who resigned as president of Auburn University in January, will continue to earn his presidential pay of $270,000 annually through June 2005.
Auburn's acting president, Edward R. Richardson, placed Mr. Walker on "retroactive leave" last week and approved the payment extension, university officials said.
Mr. Walker had stepped down, under pressure, 19 months into his presidency. His resignation followed a pair of embarrassing incidents.
