Evidence for the Existence of God
To the Editor:
Stanley Hauerwas's comments in "Let There Be Brights?" (Deconstruct This, The Review, August 8) were less than illuminating. He accuses Daniel C. Dennett of being "stupid" in claiming that Christianity and Judaism believe in the supernatural -- a belief that Dennett, an atheist, rejects. Hauerwas denies that God is supernatural because that would make God only "a metaphysical object."
