European Union Beckons Expatriates Home
To the 100,000 or so European academics now living and working in the United States, the European Union has a message: Come home! Or at least come back for a while.
As part of a campaign to kick-start its science-based economy, the E.U. is introducing a series of programs to encourage expatriate researchers to reconsider their decisions to work abroad, or to consider lending their expertise to European research ventures as scientific collaborators on a short-term basis.
