John B. Oblak, president of Notre Dame de Namur University, announced his resignation yesterday. Mr. Oblak, who arrived at the California college in 2000, had been dogged by controversy. Faculty and student leaders had urged him to step down over concerns about declining enrollment. —Paul Fain
