Enlightenment After Freshman Year
To the Editor:
While I don't disagree with Tim Clydesdale's depiction of the mind-set of the majority of college freshmen, as described by James M. Lang ("The Myth of First-Year Enlightenment," Careers, February 1), I do take issue with several points.
Given that most college freshmen are away from home for the first time, it is not surprising that during their first year they will be preoccupied with "daily life management." The first year, however, is just the beginning of
