English Majors Are Studying Shakespeare as Well as Toni Morrison
After reading the National Association of Scholars' report on "Losing the Big Picture: The Fragmentation of the English Major Since 1964," summarized in "English Curriculum Favors Morrison Over Swift, Report Says" (June 2), one might have reason to pity the students of Trinity College and other great liberal-arts institutions.
