Energy Dept. Could Give Academe a Bonus
President Bush's proposed increase of 14 percent for the Energy Department's Office of Science in 2007 could provide an especially large bonus for academe.
Funds for colleges would rise by nearly nearly 22 percent, to $611-million, according to budget documents.
